A sweet, edgy, elegant, head turning, heavy hitting fragrance. All while wearing a buttery leather jacket. That’s what I got when I first sprayed this fragrance on my skin. The smell of leather hits you right off the bat, and then some spicy sweetness. Even though it’s not in the notes I get a little bit of pepper, maybe that’s the leather blending with my chemistry. However I don’t mind it. Now from other reviews I would occasionally hear that this fragrance smells similar to Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540. In my option this fragrance is kind of giving me The House of Oud Empathy and Tom Ford Tuscan Leather vibes. Most of all it does smell like I sprayed Baccarat Rouge 540 on a leather jacket and hung it back up in the closet.
To tone down the leather smell, I like to layer this with something a bit sweeter or lighter. My first choices are Valentino Born in Roma, Yves Saint Laurent Mon Paris Intensement, or Prada Candy Kiss. However, I’m still looking around my collection to smell up some good collaborations.
Now I do get a good 10 hours out of this. I have not been able to test this out in a crowd, however I’m in no rush.
Here are the notes that make up this lovely fragrance: Top Notes: Lily, Jasmine, Saffron, and Orange. Middle Notes: Ylang-Ylang, Magnolia, Ambergris and Lily-of-the-Valley. Base Notes: Precious woods, Sandalwood, Birch, Musk, Leather and Oak Moss.
Later on in life I’ll break down these notes, however I’ll be lying if I try to pretend that I know the break down of each note. Just know that this fragrance has a unique smell, and that is what I like.
